Age is not years alone. A person born on 15 March 1998 is a different age on 1 March and on 20 March. This calculator counts full years, then full months, then the remaining days, using the calendar rather than dividing by 365.25. Total days ignore the time of day so a daylight-saving change does not add or remove a day. If you set an “as of” date, the age is calculated for that day, which is what visa forms and school cutoffs ask for.

Does a leap day change the result?
Yes. Total days include 29 February when that date falls in the span. Someone born on 29 February advances a year on 1 March in non-leap years.

Yes. Set the “as of” date to the day the form cares about.
