Resize Image

Change the pixel width and height of a JPG, PNG, or WebP. Lock the aspect ratio so a portrait does not stretch, or type both sides when you need an exact frame.

On this device

This file never leaves your device. The tool runs in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Drop an image.
  2. Type a width or height, or tap a preset.
  3. Leave the aspect lock on unless you want to stretch the frame.
  4. Download the resized file.

A photo to 1920×1080

A 4000×3000 photo locked to a width of 1920 becomes 1920×1440, because 3000/4000 = 0.75. To fill a 1920×1080 frame exactly you would crop first. This tool resizes the whole picture and does not crop.

Social posts, thumbnails, and marketplace listings all ask for pixel sizes. Presets cover 1920×1080, 1280×720, 1080×1080, and 800×800. With the lock on, typing a width recalculates the height from the original proportions. The export uses a high-quality canvas resample. Very large photos are limited to 16 megapixels in the working canvas so a phone tab does not crash, and the page tells you if it scaled the source first.

Questions

How do I resize an image without stretching it?

Keep the aspect lock on and set only the width or only the height. The other side follows the original ratio.

Can I resize to exact pixels?

Yes. Turn the lock off and type both width and height. The picture will stretch to that frame.

Does resizing upload the photo?

No. Resampling happens in the browser on your device.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The file is read in your browser and processed on this device. ProHacks does not receive the photo or the PDF.
