A link on a poster
A homepage URL at 512 pixels, black on white, prints cleanly on a flyer. Test it from the distance people will actually stand.
A QR code is a square of modules that a camera reads back into text. Short URLs scan more reliably than a long paragraph, because the modules stay larger. This generator uses error correction level M, which can survive a modest smudge or logo sitting off in a corner, though this page does not overlay a logo. Leave a quiet margin of white around the code when you place it on a poster. Dark modules on a light background scan best. Reversing the colors often fails in phone cameras.
Questions
What can I put in a QR code?
Any text: a URL, a short note, an email address, or a Wi-Fi setup string. Shorter text scans more easily.
Why will my code not scan?
Low contrast, a tiny print, or no quiet margin are the usual reasons. Keep dark modules on a light field and give the square some empty space.
Do you store the text?
No. The PNG is built in the browser.
Is the code free to use?
Yes. You can download it and use it on a page, a card, or a slide.
