Time Zone Converter
Pick a date and time, a city it belongs to, and a city you need. The converter applies that zone’s real offset, including daylight saving when the date calls for it.
Sunday, 1 November 2026 at 14:00
Same moment in UTC: Sunday, 1 November 2026 at 14:00
How to use it
- Set the date and time as they read on the clock in the first city.
- Choose the source zone and the destination zone.
- Read the destination wall time and the UTC time.
- Change the date if you are checking a season with different daylight saving.
9:00 in New York, asked from London
In winter, 9:00 America/New_York is 14:00 Europe/London. In summer, when both sides are on daylight saving, it is still often 14:00, but the dates around the clock changes differ. Convert the exact day rather than memorizing a single offset.
A 9:00 meeting in New York is not always five hours behind London. The gap is five hours for part of the year and four hours when only one side is on daylight saving. This page uses the IANA time-zone database built into your browser, so a date in July and a date in January can disagree by an hour on purpose. The result is the wall time in the destination, plus the UTC instant both clocks share. It does not shift historical dates from before your browser’s zone data.
Questions
Does this include daylight saving time?
Yes. The offset comes from the time zone and the date, not from a fixed number of hours.
What is UTC here?
UTC is the shared reference. Both wall times on the page are the same moment, written in UTC as well so you can compare a third city.
Why is my city missing?
The list is a set of major zones that cover most searches. A nearby city in the same IANA zone has the same result.
Is the time uploaded?
No. The browser’s internationalization API does the conversion locally.
